CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION
A Certificate of Education tells your Bishop or Religious Superior that you have completed all the educational requirements necessary for Ordination.
The Certificate of Education is equivalent to a minimum
of 60 Credits and may be used at WOTI towards earning a degree, such as
applying 60 credits toward the 128 credits necessary to earn a Bachelor’s
Degree (not required for Ordination).
A total of 60 credits are required for the awarding of this degree; twenty of which are in general theology or scripture, the balance having been earned in required academic subjects and electives.
The academic subjects, such as English, Mathematics and Sciences must be earned from other accredited Junior (Community) or Senior College (University) programs. Some credits may be given from Life Experience in church-related activities as already outlined or stated elsewhere in this catalog.
The degree major can be in Pastoral or Scriptural Theology.

Evangelism Pastoral Counseling
Licentiate in Sacred Theology [L.S.T.]
Master of Divinity [M.Div.]
Doctor of Divinity [S.T.M.]
Doctor of Sacred Theology [D.D.]
Doctor of Christian Philosophy
Christian Education [Ph.D.]
Honors at graduation is conferred on the student who qualifies for the academic distinction via the grade point average as follows:
Cum Laude 3.5 to 3.6
Magna Cum Laude 3.7 to 3.8
Summa Cum Laude 3.9 to 4.0
ACADEMIC HONORS AND AWARDS
WOTI wishes to recognize academic achievement. Accordingly, the following indicates such:
Dean’s List:
The student who has earned a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.7 will
appear
Quarterly on the Dean’s List.
S. Corradi Award:
This award is granted in memory of His Beatitude Archbishop Stephen
Meyer Corradi-Scarella of blessed memory.
This Certificate of award is given to any student who completes any certification or degree program with a grade point average of 3.8. to 4.0.
Awards given in the form of Certificates may be used in either of two ways. These awards provide percentage refunds based on the amounts paid to WOTI for courses. From 10% to 75% of costs are refunded to the student or the sponsoring Bishop or Religious Superior who paid the initial costs for enrollment, tuition, etc.
