Pascha (Easter) An Every Day Spiritual and Material Struggle

What is "Pascha" to Orthodox Catholic Christians, is "Easter" to the Western Part of the Church and became "Easter" for most of the Western Civilization (both Orthodox and otherwise).
Lenten Season begins 50 days prior to the celebration of Jesus Christ's Resurrection which, for Orthodox, is called "Resurrection Day". Most People say "Happy Easter". For Orthodox Catholic Christians it usually is "Happy Resurrection Day" although because of the lack of understanding by many in the western part of the world, "Happy Easter" has become the acceptable norm.
We shall begin with a series of articles and information relating to "Resurrection Day" celebrations concerning the Life and Teachings of Jesus Christ and hope you will respond to them with your thoughts (pro or con), ask questions or provide your own thinking on them. One of the ways in which this can be accomplished is for you to click on the E-mail icon and place in the subject line "Pascha" for the Q & A or for other thoughts.

We present the following words and their definitions so as to provide you with an understanding of the flavor of our spiritual and material struggle for the faith given by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
What follows afterward, are a variety of Lenten and Pascha (Easter) links and information.
Lent. (Gr. Sarakosti) The fifty-days fast preceding Easter for the spiritual preparation of the faithful to observe the feast of the Resurrection. Besides Lent, the Orthodox Church has assigned a number of other fasting periods. Check with your local Orthodox Catholic Christian Church (Russian, Greek, Syro-Chaldean, Syriac Orthodox, Coptic Orthodox, American Orthodox for the book on abstinence observances).
Easter. (Gr. Pascha or Lambri). The feast day of the resurrection of Christ, known also as "the Feast of Feasts." It is the greatest Orthodox festival, celebrated the Sunday following the first full moon after the Spring equinox. It is a movable feast and the dates of the other movable feasts of the Orthodox Church are calculated from it.
Last Supper (Gr. Mystikos Deipnos; Sl. Taynya Vercherya). The Last meal of Christ with His disciples in the 'Upper Room' before his arrest. With this supper he instituted the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.
Leavened Bread. (Gr. artos). Bread made with yeast (enzymes); and used far altar bread for the Orthodox Eucharist (as opposed to the unleavened bread used by the Latin Church). Leavened bread is also acceptable for the purpose in the more liberal Protestant churches.
