This article was presented some time ago and we held off posting it until recently.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) claims to be America’s “guardian of freedoms” and the defender individual rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution. Since its founding in 1920, we have slowly seen the true colors of this group, which is far from the “patriotic” group they would have us believe.

The organizations co-founder, Roger Baldwin, openly stated:

"I am for socialism, disarmament, and ultimately, for abolishing the state itself as an instrument of violence and compulsion. I seek social ownership of property, the abolition of the properties class, and sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal. It all sums up into one single purpose -- the abolition of dog-eat-dog under which we live. I don't regret being part of the communist tactic. I knew what I was doing. I was not an innocent liberal. I wanted what the communists wanted and I traveled the United Front road to get it."

The ACLU works hand-in-hand with every anti-American, radical, anti-capitalist organization such as National Lawyers Guild and the Center for Constitutional Rights, in an effort to chip away at the very fabric of our Constitutional frame work.

The ACLU has been attacking every aspect of American life. It was the Godless ACLU that fought to get prayer removed from our public schools. It was the ACLU that fought to get abortion legalized. It is the ACLU that fought to get sex education into the curriculum of the public school system. It is the ACLU that leads the fight to have all religious symbols from the public venue. The ACLU is leading the fight to keep our government from securing our borders from the influx of illegal immigrants, by aiding the Open Borders Lobby, which is pushing for the expansion of anti-discrimination laws to require employers to hire illegal aliens; weakening sanctions against employers who hire illegal aliens; barring the INS from conducting inspections without a search warrant; requiring the INS to provide free legal counsel (at the American taxpayers expense) to illegal aliens; and ensuring illegal aliens' eligibility for welfare benefits (this is costing the US tax-payers millions of dollars a year). The ACLU is also pushing many states to give free or very low cost college educations to the children of many illegal immigrants. The ACLU is defending the immoral Man Boy Love Association, the depraved group that advocates for the right of pedophiles to engage in sex with young boys. The ACLU is fighting for the legalization of doctor assisted suicide (euthanasia). The ACLU is working to defend terrorists, such as Sami al Arian, the head of the North American Palestinian Islamic Jihad, in an effort to undermine all of the security protections which both the Clinton and Bush administrations have put in place. Ever since the horrendous attacks on 9/11, which killed about three thousand people, the ACLU has been actively leading a coalition of so-called “civil liberties” groups who are promoting non-cooperation with the Department of Homeland Security.

The ACLU's Immigration Task Force has opposed all Justice Department proposals to fingerprint and track immigrants and foreign visitors to the United States, claiming that such measures "treat immigrant populations as a separate and quasi-criminal element of society." They also oppose a Justice Department initiative that would give local and state police the power to enforce immigration laws. "Local police should not be in the business of detaining or arresting law-abiding aliens based on their immigration status," says Howard Simon, executive director of the ACLU of Florida.

The ACLU was steadfastly against the nomination of Judge Samuel A. Alito, Jr. to be the new associate justice on the Supreme Court, and urged the full Senate to reject his confirmation. Caroline Fredrickson, Director of the ACLU Washington Legislative Office stated: “The American people deserve a nominee whose loyalty lies with the Constitution and not the whims of the president. Judge Alito’s record has shown an alarming and undue deference to executive powers. His legal and judicial philosophy shows a jurist who is all too willing to acquiesce to the harmful, and possibly illegal, demands of an executive branch set on extending its reach and power. At a time when the president and his surrogates are claiming unprecedented authority to break the rules, the nation’s highest court must uphold our fundamental civil liberties and freedoms, and recognize and sustain the balance of powers essential to our government. Judge Alito would upset that balance, to the detriment of our personal freedoms and privacy.” What she really meant was that Alito would upset the imbalance that their plant Justice Ginsburg has brought to the Courts. Under the provisions of Article II of the United States Constitution, the President of the United States has the responsibility to appoint qualified individuals to the federal bench. The way the senators conduct the Confirmation Hearings is a fairly recent development. In the past, the Senate examined the record, the FBI report, the nomination based on qualifications alone would pass committee then a vote was taken on the floor of the Senate. Today, special interest groups like the ACLU pressure their puppets in the Senate to carry out their agendas. The confirmation should be based solely on the nominee’s qualifications, not on whether they agree with a liberal senator’s personal ideologies or not.

For the past forty years or so, the ACLU has been on a major crusade to destroy Christianity in America, promote filth under "freedom of speech and expression," and of course, vigorously defend the homosexual culture of death. Congressman Albert S. Herlong Jr., D-Fla., read a list of 45 communist goals into the Congressional Record on January 10, 1963. The following are the communist goals being implemented by the ACLU in their quest to destroy America's culture and traditions:

A. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions, by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

B. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

C. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all form of artistic expression. An American communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings," substituting shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.

D. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."

E. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

F. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and television.

G. Present some forms of homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural and healthy."

H. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch."

I. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

J. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of "the big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the communists took over. Obliterating the American past, with its antecedents in principles of freedom, liberty and private ownership is a major goal of the communists then and now.

K. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture – education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

L. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

It doesn’t take a PhD to see how effective the ACLU has been at implementing these communist goals to "promote democracy" and protect your “civil rights.” To be honest, the ACLU should really be called the American Communist Lawyers Union. For the ACLU to claim that they are defending our “civil rights” is an out and out fraud.

This is one organization that SHOULD not be supported or endorsed. They may have done some good in the past, but lately, they have done nothing but destroy the moral values of this country. Their anti-American and anti-religious stance is plain to see. No self-respecting lawyer, Christian or American citizen should be a member of, or support this Organization in any way shape or form.

When one of our members contacted an ACLU affiliate in a county [when in California] (they are established as county and state offices in various states); “…they would have nothing to do with us,” and “…they wouldn’t even help us in our 2002 fight against the local police of Seaside, California when they misused and abused the newly inaugurated ‘Patriot Act’ by their entering our private home and chapel under pretext, using threats and intimidation because we had telephoned and filed a complaint against a man who had been abusing his mother and who later took revenge on us with threats by using a gun.” The individual black man who had been abusing his mother, as noted by the Welfare Department took him to court. But, after two mis-trials, he could no longer be re-charged as it would have violated U.S. Constitutional guarantees. “…He turned around to file those same charges against us. Then threatened us by driving by and waving a gun. His last attempt caused for us to be shot at and the police not only wouldn’t do anything but threatened us…”

But, as alleged, he had made friends with a formidable wealthy female police officer of the Seaside, CA. Police Department {known among various local ethnic communities as Satan’s Wife due to her overly aggressive actions to help black people, and it is opined to have a black lover (?) as well as denounce, intimidate and even arrest all others, including those of her own race who she believes violate the law} “… and who told us that if we brought charges against him, we would be the ones to be jailed.” The ACLU were called, but they wouldn’t (refused) to help whatsoever. That isn’t the first time the ACLU had been contacted over the years.

Obviously the ACLU would seem to pick and choose very carefully the cases they want to take so as to gain the most publicity or mileage possible for self-image.

It is, in our opinion, they are not truly out for the safety and security of individual rights, but their own agenda of rights and privileges, not with true American justice in mind or the Constitution for they are just something to contact and use when it is to their own interests, much the same as many legislators and congressional personages do.

We, at apostle1.com do cause for "Point" and "Counterpoint" discussions at our web site. This is sometimes the same way in which authors and writers do in order to bring about both sides or arguments in discussions or about some issues affecting the Church as a whole. Abbot +Gregori and our Metropolitan Archbishop do this from time to time. What part of celibacy does one not understand?

However, it has come to our attention that un-named individual(s) think it wise and not harmful to start attacking by taking copyrighted materials to use in their own web site without permission, per se: as for an example, the subjects pertaining to "Homosexuals" and "Homosexuality in the Church," etc. for the purpose of advancing their own causes to start their attacking of other(s) which is not bound in and with the Church, but with a personal agenda of self-image because of anger, hate, fear and worse. They are Roman in attitude and practice, but not Orthodox, although calling themselves "Orthodox" even "Celtic".

It is understood, according to information and belief, that three of his/her/their websites may have been closed by former service providers due to complaints against him/them for internet terrorism, spewing "hate" and causing for an individual whom he/they discuss, to be exposed to potential physical harm which happened in the early part of the 2005 when they thought themselves wise in their own conceit, for things of more than 13 years in the past. What part of "Hate" - "Exposing another to threats of losing life" - "Internet Terrorism" does he/they not understand? Now, under other domain names, the same/similar hate messages re-occur against the same individual.

We find them to be un-orthodox and un-Christian in spirit and truth for they continue to argue things of the past that is not a part of the Life and Teachings of Jesus Christ, and (in fact) go against the very commandments of Jesus Christ! And those who do such are, it is opined upon investigation and in most instances, the very one(s) who had been or are under ban as excommunicated individuals posing as duly ordained clergy who had been a part of this jurisdiction (and so many numerous others) in times past.

Traditional Orthodox Jurisdictions

While the answer and question above is not sufficient for some to understand, we take the view (which we believe is ORTHODOX) that all things pertinent to life and living affects, and has an effect, upon not just our belief (Orthodox), but (for many) the way in which we act in accordance with our belief, our very faith.

Because this is a highly Protestant Country in which we live, having an effect upon the laws of the land, we should know something of what is on-going and where efforts by those denominations may affect and have a intrinsic effect on our very laws, for such does have an effect upon our daily lives as Orthodox Catholic Christians.

If one is not cognizant of the real events happening both locally and in the world, although many are removed from the world... one will not know what to expect or what to do, or how one can or cannot act which might betray one's faith and accrue the wrath of civil authorities as laws change. Yet, we are also reminded that these things must happen and it was for that which there exists many early Christian Martyrs and Saints.

While we can remove ourselves from the world, we still live in it. And for the faithful, theirs is a struggle for knowledge and understanding. All things are pertinent to the Orthodox Catholic Christian Faith which is the very foundation of Christianity. As such, we can not abandon them and leave them blind to events and happenings.

What we post as related to those things similar to various articles which might have a political theme or non-Orthodox Catholic Christian content, of sorts, does not mean or imply that we are supportive of, or against something articulated in an article, so much as it is NEWS and our faithful should be made aware, for such may be the very thing that will impact their day-to-day life.

Remember, not all Protestants, especially hard core cultic groups such as "Charismatic" - "Evangelical" and other people are not so generous in their viciousness toward anyone and anything that appears "Catholic" whether of the Roman or Orthodox jurisdictions, for they do not know or want to learn that which makes them "different" in their walk and talk as being far from the roots of Christianity.

Remember, it is the Roman jurisdiction which has more outwardly shown that it can be one of the most vicious toward those who are not Roman but are very much "Catholic" - for the sun and moon does not rise and set on the Vatican (Latin or Roman) jurisdiction as to who is or is not "Catholic" for the Roman jurisdiction split (schismed) from the roots of "Catholicism" which is founded in what is termed and called today as "Orthodoxy".

Any good article or piece of information will be considered so long as it is not defamatory or slanderous toward an individual when not based on TRUTH or FACT, or which is altered out of context from its original publishing by recognized sources.

Yes, our Metropolitan Archbishop, +Joseph Thaddeus, SSJt., Ph.D. strongly defends the Seals of the Confessional for such leads to true Repentance in thought, word and deed whereby the penitent is required to make amends, where possible, to seek forgiveness of those harmed by his actions whether real or imagined, and to give his forgiveness to those who have harmed him before taking the Holy Body and Blood in the Eucharist, Jesus the Christ. The reality of this understanding is bound up in and with the findings for which cause he, himself, had been character assassinated by his detractors who claim the courts prevented him from breaking the Seals of the Confessional which is not the truth at all....
