The Culture War in America

One of the biggest things that we face in America today is
Divorce, Remarriage and Adultery..In today's society, a fad that's in the church as much as it is in the world is to not take the marriage covenant as seriously as we once did. We have seemed to forgotten that marriage is a covenant. Not only a covenant between the man and woman but a covenant with God.
The most visible sign of a culture collapse is the high rate of divorce. Nearly two-thirds of today's marriages will end in divorce or separation. Forty-five percent of all first marriages end in divorce. Of these divorces, seventy-five percent of the divorced women remarry while eighty-three percent of the men do. The figures for second marriages are even more discouraging. Fifty-five percent of these end in divorce.
The truth is, divorce is not just a non-Christian problem. Pollster George Barna discovered that born-again Christians actually have a higher rate of divorce (27 percent) than nonbelievers (23 percent).
Fundamentalists top them all (30 percent). And 87 percent divorced after accepting Christ, presumably aware of the biblical teaching on divorce. For many today, divorce has become a relatively simple solution to a complex problem, a cheap way to escape from a troublesome marriage. Prior to the divorce reforms of the 1970s, most divorces were based upon the ground of "fault." Generally one of the spouses had to be guilty of some act of unfaithfulness or misbehavior, such as adultery. More recently this has given way to "no-fault" divorces. Prior to no-fault, "traditional legal marriage was grounded in the Christian conception of marriage as a sacrament, a holy union between a man and a women, a commitment to join together to love and cherish, in sickness and in health, for better, for worse, until death do us part."
[Marriage
] is the most solemn and important of human transactions. It is (or was) regarded by all Christian nations as the basis of civilized society, of sound morals, and of the domestic affections...The mutual comfort and happiness of the parties are the principal, but not the only, objects of the [marriage]. It is intended also for the benefit of their common offspring, and is an important element in the moral order, security and tranquility of civilized society. The parties cannot dissolve the contract, as they can others, by mutual consent, and no light or trivial causes should be suffered to affect its rescission... according to the experience of the most enlightened nations, the happiness of married life greatly depends on its indissolubility.According to Lenora Weitzman in her book
The Divorce Revolution. "Divorce laws reinforced those responsibilities, rewarding spouses who fulfilled their marital obligations and punishing those who did not." If a man ran off with his secretary, his wife got the family home, child custody, child support, and alimony until she remarried or died. No-fault's goal was to reduce the acrimony of divorce proceedings by eliminating arguments over who was most at fault. But in abolishing "the concept of fault, it also eliminated the framework of guilt, innocence and ... the law's condemnation of marital misconduct," Weitzman says.No matter what you or I may think about divorce or whether it’s socially acceptable or not, you must understand what God thinks about divorce:
"... I hate divorce, says the LORD, the God of Israel ..." [Malachi 2:16] That is pretty simple and straight forward and one shouldn’t have any trouble understanding it. Today, if a Christian wants a divorce, they twist the scriptures to fit their desire or they hear a prophecy, or a voice that says, "God doesn't want you to suffer anymore." They try to justify their decision to others because they KNOW they're guilty. These fine Christian people, ministers, pastors, prophets, and evangelists come up with all sorts of wild ideas why it's okay to divorce. But, there truly are few good reasons to divorce.
What people need to know is that none of this just happened, it was a carefully calculated plan to break down the morals and the values held by our society, to make it easier to usher in the One World Government. This plan was helped in part by the feminist movement (another organization that is a tool of the
New World Order) which had a huge detrimental effect on marriage and on the family as a whole.Gloria Steinem sounded the war cry, "
We don't just want to destroy capitalism," she said, "we want to tear down the whole f____ patriarchy." As the women's movement became ever more fanatical and ugly in the 1960s and 70s the focus began to shift from reform and equal opportunity. The feminist leaders - humorless, militant, pugnacious, and angry with their particular lot in life, launched programs that were anti-God, anti-capitalism, anti-family, anti-birth, anti-heterosexual and fostered a virulent hatred of anything having to do with males. They no longer wanted to equalize the status of women, but instead wanted to irreversibly alienate women from men and vice versa, and they have been spreading this ugly disease of hatred to other countries around the globe."The fiction of fatherhood is a giant religion called Christianity" - Jill Johnston in Lesbian Nation
Home and traditional family values are no longer accepted answers to the questions, "Who am I?" and, "What am I here for?" The preeminent purpose for some women has become their careers, and they decided against the value of home and family.
Taken over by radical leftists committed to adultery, lesbianism, homosexuality and the perpetuation of
"self" over motherhood and family, the women's movement led by the National Organization of Women (NOW), became an adjunct of the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party left millions of evangelicals and pro-family Christians when they lurched to the left under George McGovern and his successors. During the 1970s, the Democratic Party abandoned its centrist pro-family base and became captive to the special interest of the radical left, including the feminists, extreme environmentalists and gay rights activists. Radical feminists linked all the Marxist causes together by writing, "We want to destroy the three pillars of class and a caste society - the family, private property, and the state."Their concerns at recent national conventions have been bashing the Christian men's group Promise Keepers and pushing for the rights of
"transgendered people," which could be anything from hermaphrodites to people waiting for sex change operations. To accomplish their goals, organizations such as the
National Organization for Women, Planned Parenthood, the National Education Association, and the People for the American Way, the Gay-Lesbian Caucus, and their ilk have arisen to champion unrestrained sex, homosexual rights and abortion on demand, and witchcraft. Gone are concerns about equal pay, assertiveness, and expressing one's individuality. In their place are women ensconced in bitterness, hatred, and resentment, while they attack Christian beliefs, conservative organizations, and all the traditional family structures of America. The
National Organization of Women (NOW) considers the Promise Keepers to be a real threat. Why is that? The men of Promise Keepers promise to love their wives, their children, and their neighbors as themselves, in keeping with the teachings of Jesus Christ, according to the New Testament. Why that should be threatening to Patricia Ireland (head of NOW) and others of her ilk is apparent. One only has to look at their lifestyles for the answer. It is frightening for Ireland, and for Karen Taggart of the Washington, DC Lesbian Avengers, who said about the Promise Keepers,
"we’ll show them that lesbians are everywhere. We'll show them that lesbians have super powers" Taggart is truly afraid that the men of Promise Keepers have tapped into just such a super power that will render her message irrelevant to women.
