lFor many years now, we have been told that as priests, ministers, pastors, etc, we are not supposed to involve our selves in political matters. We are only supposed to concern ourselves with spiritual things. To a certain extent, this is true. Even Jesus said that we should be in the world but not of the world.
lHowever, when politics encroaches into areas that concern morality and the teachings of the Church, and when the political system infringes upon an individual’s God given right to believe and worship as they choose, then the clergy have the right to speak out. We have the duty and obligation to educate the children of God as to what is happening and why.
Preparing for the future by learning from the past
lAs Orthodox Catholics, we are called upon to spread the Good News, the Gospel, in an effort to lead others to Christ. We are to hold true to the teachings and traditions, both oral and written, handed down to us by Jesus Christ through His Apostles and the early Church fathers.

lOften, this means going against the popular culture of the time, standing against the evils of this world. To do this, we must be armed with knowledge of our “enemy”, and knowledge of our rights and, most importantly, the knowledge of the past. The best way to know what is coming is to know what went before

Awake you who sleep
Part A
lBesides being an ordained Orthodox Catholic priest, I am also a student of history and of the Constitution. For my part, I consider that to be an important part of my “walk with God”, because to know what is coming in the future, we must understand what has gone in the past, and it gives one an edge when it comes time to fight the evil that IS coming.
lToday, we cannot afford the luxury of allowing ourselves, our children or our grandchildren to be dumbed down and brainwashed by those who are hell bent on rewriting history to fit their own world view, such as those who control our public school system and the MSM.
lMuch of what I hear today, from so-called educators and politicians, and a lot of stuff in the print media, concerning past events (and especially those concerning the United States) seems to bear little, if any, resemblance to the truth or reality.
lIt is for this reason that I have made the decision to use Thursdays to post some articles titled: “AWAKE YOU WHO SLEEP”, which I wrote about a year ago. I had posted some of these on my web site, but since the information they contain is vitally important, and since I am getting a large number of visitors to my blog, I have decided to start posting them here. There are thirteen articles in the series and each of them deals with different organizations and individuals who are behind the push for globalism, the New World Order (One World Government) and the One World Religion, which are predicted in Holy Scripture.
Awake You Who Sleep – 1
l“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

l“Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand.” (Ephesians 6:13)
lThese “Awake” articles are for the purpose of educating and warning people about how the Evil One (Satan) is controlling everything that is happening in the world today. You will lLearn how and why the world is heading, full tilt, toward a “One World”.
gGovernment, headed by the Anti-Christ as foretold in Holy Scripture.
lEzekiel prophesized that the “One World” government, headed by the Anti Christ, would be brought about through four “Kingdoms” (world systems) which are as follows:
lThe “political” system – the existing world governments will give way to a single world government.

lThe
“financial” system – the rise of the World Banking System will have the power
to control the entire wealth of the world.
l
The “educational system – through which the brainwashing of the world’s children will take place, since the public schools around the world will have complete and total control over the curriculum taught in the schools.
lThe “religious” system – where by a One World Church will be established in which bits and pieces of different religions will be combined into one, headquartered in Rome. This will not be the Catholic Church or Christianity as we know it, but rather a bastardized conglomeration of witchcraft, nature worship, Buddhism, Islam, Satanism and whatever else the depraved human mind can come up with.
lWe are well on our way toward the fulfillment of each of these. Read on and learn so that you can be prepared to fight against this coming evil. There are many who have the mistaken belief that a One World Government will be the greatest and most peaceful utopia in the history of mankind, but the Bible warns us that this will be the worst hell on earth that mankind has ever seen.
l1948 – THE BEGINNING OF THE END:
lHal Lindsey, a well known author and prophesy expert, calls 1948 the “hinge” of history, and for good reason. Much of what will eventually become the “One World Government” and the fulfillment of Biblical prophesy began to manifest itself in that year.
lOn May 14, 1948, Israel officially came back into existence. This event can rightfully be called a miracle. Because never before, in the history of mankind, has a nation been utterly destroyed and its people scattered to the four corners of the earth, and then come back into existence with its language and customs in tact, after many centuries. This fits in with Jesus’ parable of the Fig Tree. It was always understood by the Jews, throughout history, that the fig always referred to Israel.
NOW LEARN A PARABLE (or a lesson) OF THE FIG TREE (of the Israeli nation. NOTE: the nation of Israel had to be reborn. Without this key event being in place, no other prophecy of the latter days would mean a thing.) WHEN HIS BRANCH IS YET TENDER, AND PUTTEH FOURTH LEAVES (the branch on the tree becomes tender after the long cold winter. When Israel is yet tender and puts forth leaves – this indicates the springtime), YE KNOW THAT SUMMER IS NIGH. (When one would see the Israeli nation come forth, and his branches tender and leaves coming forth, you would know that summer is near, or you would know that certain prophecies are about to start.) SO LIKE WISE YE, WHEN YE SHALL SEE ALL THESE THINGS (the list of things that Jesus gave in the previous verses), KNOW THAT IT IS NEAR, EVEN AT THE DOORS. (Again, we see the command to know that certain events are at the doors and are going to happen almost immediately).
SO LIKEWISE YE, WHEN YE SEE THESE THINGS COME TO PASS, KNOW YE THAT THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NIGH AT HAND (when Jesus shall reign on earth). VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, THIS GENERATION SHALL NOT PASS AWAY (the generation of the fig tree, the nation of Israel) TILL ALL BE FULFILLED.
The rebirth of the nation of Israel was the pivotal point in history, but it wasn’t the only important thing to take place in 1948. On December 10, 1948, the United Nations adopted and proclaimed its Universal Declaration of Human Rights; this was the beginning of the United Nations becoming an international controlling body. However, contrary to what many may think, the United Nations is NOT going to be the ruling body of the One World Government, I believe that the UN was just a prelude to the real center of power which will be through the European Union, which will eventually have its headquarters in Rome.
The UN’s Declaration of Human Rights was supposed to be based on the Bill of Rights found in the Constitution of the United States, but there was one glaring difference. Whereas our Declaration of Independence states that our Freedoms and Rights emanate from our Creator, the United Nations holds that our Rights come from the State.
