I will sing for you no matter what. I will choose you no matter what. You have changed my history,'" </EM>per Greg Musselman of<STRONG> CWNews.com</STRONG>.<BR> <BR> <EM>"They've been forsaken by their friends, and even family members, but Ethiopia's Christians are still finding the strength to stand."<BR> </EM><BR> Their churches are burnt to the ground. The mob of pious Muslims saw to it. Devout Islamics were then going to haul off Christians to their mosque, <SPAN STYLE="text-decoration: underline">forcing</SPAN> them to becoming Muslims.<BR> <BR> A worn account? Yes.<BR> <BR> Yet remember that the fourteenth-century Muslim theologian, Ibn Taymiyya, wrote: <EM>"Nothing in the law of Muhammad states that the blood of the unbeliever is equal to the blood of the Muslim, because faith is necessary for equality"</EM> (Almahdy). Therefore, the killing or murder of a non-Muslim is not a capital crime. Non-believers ("pagans" or non-Muslims) are required to convert to Islam - on penalty of death. <EM>"Make war on them</EM> [<EM>i.e.</EM>, against all non-Muslims]<EM> until idolatry is no more and god's religion reigns supreme"</EM> (Sura 8:39). All impediments to the spread of Islam must be removed - through the tongue, the pen, or the sword! From its very founding by Mohammad, Islam turned its political boundaries with the outside world (almost all of which were Christian at the time) into a perpetual war zone. Before Islam, Christianity covered the entire ancient province of Asia, extending across the Caucasus to the Caspian Sea, Syria with all of the Holy Land, and a wide belt of North Africa all the way to the Atlantic Ocean as well as Europe. At the time of Mohammad's rise to power, most of the early medieval Christians lived in Asia Minor and Africa (which gave us countless Church Fathers and Martyrs) rather than Europe.<BR> <BR> The murder and supression of Christians is going on <EM>worldwide</EM>, especially in Muslim-controlled nations<EM> </EM>- though the <SPAN STYLE="text-decoration: underline">secula</SPAN>r press (especially in the U.S.A. and Europe) gives it scant coverage. Nevertheless, it is a daily fact. God knows. Heaven takes note. Christians in free countries must intercede by taking earnest prayer note and strongly registering their questions and complaints with their governments! Explain the TRUE goals and teachings of Islam to everyone you know!<BR> <BR> All three evangelical Church buildings in the Ethiopian village -- the Full Gospel, the Lutheran and the Mennonite -- were burned and destroyed. This is the result of a March 2006 Muslim assembly and "rally" in the northeastern part of the country.<BR> <BR> Neighbors reported that local police provided their murderous fellow-Muslims with an accelerant to burn the Christian buildings, and urged the attackers to work <SPAN STYLE="text-decoration: underline">quickly</SPAN> before federal police arrived to intervene.<BR> <BR> What refuge do Christians have when the <SPAN STYLE="text-decoration: underline"><STRONG>police</SPAN></STRONG></SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-family: Times"><STRONG></STRONG> work in concert with the criminals? None but Divine Intervention. And not too long ago, under the Ethiopian Emperor, the nation was officially a Coptic <STRONG><SPAN STYLE="text-decoration: underline">Christian</SPAN></STRONG></SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-family: Times"><SPAN STYLE="text-decoration: underline"></SPAN> nation. How times change things.<BR> <BR> Werkena, the gatekeeper at the destroyed Lutheran Church, who is 76 years old, was badly injured in the attack by the pious Muslims. During the well-organized assault, <STRONG><SPAN STYLE="text-decoration: underline">300</SPAN> <SPAN STYLE="text-decoration: underline">Muslims</SPAN></STRONG></SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-family: Times"></SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-family: Times"> had gathered at the Church building, set it on fire, and threw rocks at Werkena, who went to hide in a room near the Church.<BR> <BR> <EM>"They not only burned the Church, they started to burn the room I was in," </EM>Werkena said. <EM>"The fire was all over my clothes. They thought I was dead."</EM><BR> <BR> Werkena had his right hand and left arm broken during the brutal attack. His left arm was so badly damaged, it may have to be amputated. He was also beaten on the head.<BR> <BR> He said, <EM>"They knew that while I was beaten harshly, I was not dead. They brought swords, and while they were preparing to slaughter me on my neck, the police came in and rescued me." </EM>Werkena knows it was God who saved his life.<BR> <BR> <EM>"I believe it's God who rescued my life,"</EM> he asserted. <EM>"They were beating me with a stick and also with stones. There were many people in the compound, but God was overshadowing me and covering me by His hand. Otherwise, I would have died."</EM></SPAN></P> <P><SPAN STYLE="font-family: Times">In all Islamic-controlled nations <SPAN STYLE="text-decoration: underline">non-Muslims</SPAN> are forbidden any public expression of their faith (thus explaining the destruction of ancient Christian Church buildings currently in Iraq -- and now Ethiopia -- by the followers of Islam); evangelism (with the goal of converting a Muslim) is punishable by death; and any Muslim who embraces Christianity may be killed by another Muslim without penalty (Almahdy). This is a far cry from the Christian teaching illustrated by Christ's parable of the Good Samaritan. Yet the Satanic "god" of Islam says: <EM>"I will strike terror into the hearts of unbelievers, smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger tips off them" </EM>(Sura 8:13-17).</SPAN></P> <P><SPAN STYLE="font-family: Times">What prayer support do such persecuted believers have globally? Certainly not from the apostate liberals within Christendom. Satan - the god of Mohammed according to Dr. Martin Luther -- has diverted the energy of Christians to defend the prenatal murder of babies (abortion) and the unScriptural efforts to ordain females as priests.<BR> <BR> And all the while these persecuted Biblical believers in Ethiopia (Saudi Arabia, Israel, Egypt,<EM> etc.</EM>) are standing alongside the Gospel, putting their earthly existence on the line. Biblical believers in free, civilized nations know this and therefore lift these brothers and sisters high in their prayers to our Heavenly Father.<BR> <BR> Now Werkena is back at work and says he hopes the Lord gives him 76 more years to serve Him.<BR> <BR> All the more reason for The Faithful (Biblical Disciples) to proclaim the Gospel for others to become converts to Christ as their personal Savior and the one true God. The Biblical community must grow and grow. It is needed desperately in an increasingly confused and immoral time. Especially in those nations now dominated by the philosophy of Satan: Islam!<BR> <BR> Abubakkar was an Eritrean soldier and a Muslim before receiving the Gift of Faith in Christ from The Holy Spirit in 2000. He came to believe in Jesus as his God and Savior after reading the Bible following his capture by the Ethiopian military. He was put in a prison camp. He says he had been searching for truth for many years, and finally found that in Christ.<BR> <BR> Eighteen-year-old Almaz had two dreams about Jesus, and after the witness (testimony) and changed life of her brother, also left Islam to become a Christian in 2004.<BR> <BR> After the mob attacks against Christians by the followers of Satan (Islam), the Muslim father of Abubakkar and Almaz, who had previously tolerated his children's Christian faith, turned on them. For their own safety they fled to another village.<BR> <BR> <EM>"When we were chased out, we went directly to the Church. We were by ourselves. We were very lonely. That was painful," </EM>Abubakkar recalled.</SPAN></P> <P><SPAN STYLE="font-family: Times">Abubakkar and Almaz have since returned to their village. Abubakkar said, <EM>"We are very fearful. Our friends, who are pious and devout Muslims, and our parents threaten us, threatening to kill us, to eliminate us. Each and every hour, every minute, we are living in fear."</EM></SPAN></P> <BR WP="BR1"><BR WP="BR2"> <P><SPAN STYLE="font-family: Times"><STRONG><EM>Islam World Rule!</EM></STRONG></SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-family: Times"><BR> <BR> That is the war cry of each and every pious Muslim! The Christians stand in the way. They must be slaughtered. Cowardly (non-devout) Muslims must also be eliminated. To wipe out the infidels is to be loyal to Allah [the name given by Mohammed to Satan], thus presenting to that "Allah" [Arabic for "god"] offerings of blood on a daily basis.</SPAN></P> <P><SPAN STYLE="font-family: Times">Abubakkar and Almaz are no longer without a place to live, thanks to <STRONG><EM>The Voice of the Martyrs Canada</EM></STRONG></SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-family: Times">, for which they are very grateful.<BR> <BR> <EM>"My happiness and joy is so great to know there is somebody who cares for me, who prays for me," </EM>Almaz said.</SPAN></P> <P><SPAN STYLE="font-family: Times">Pastor Alaling of the Full Gospel Church says, in spite of threats of further attacks, it's important and encouraging for Christians here that these Church buildings are reconstructed.<BR> <BR> The Lutheran Church has already been rebuilt. The Mennonite and Full Gospel Church buildings were in the process of putting up new structures when we visited.<BR> <BR> One of the positive outcomes of the deliberate persecution of Christians is the UNITY of the Church in those lands of persecution. The three local congregations often come together for joint services and fellowship.<BR> <BR> Pastor Alaling said, <EM>"After the persecution, the love of the Believers for each other increased. Everybody is concerned about each other. What would happen to my brother this time? Is he okay?
