An important observation and Critical review and Overview of some of the material presented

"It is impossible for someone to acquire a catholic knowledge of the spirit except by being incorporated into the life of the Church. The entire significance of the perseverance of Orthodoxy through the centuries lies exactly in the numerical identity of the Church, in her uniquely catholic, universal, and continuous existence, with an uninterrupted and continuous hierarchical succession, with the performance of the mysteries, with the communion of the faith, and by the action of the One Spirit and one grace in all of these. This is none other than the unity of the Body of Christ, the unity of the house of God, in which all who have fallen asleep in the faith and piety presently live and dwell along with all the saints and holy fathers."

Review of the Oratory Catechism:

As said in the initial review about the "Oratory Catechism," we can only provide a small glimpse into the in-depth writings of this Oratory Catechism.

As a former Roman Catholic who became Old Catholic (Old Roman Catholic) then began a journey which has led to the roots of our full Christian heritage which is bound, root and branch, in Orthodox Catholic Christianity that encompasses the Greek Orthodox Church, The Russian Orthodox Church, The Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Syro-Chaldean, Coptic, Syriac and even, now, the American Orthodox Church; I have found that the Oratory Catechism is much, much more than above described.  We shall provide excerpts, in this web page writing (with attached links) from this Catechism as regards the "New Church" resultant from Vatican II Council and many heresies which disenfranchises the present day Roman Jurisdiction of the Catholic Church from being looked upon as truly Roman Catholic although it continues to function from the "Vatican" "Rome" without what can be considered a properly installed, crowned, doctrinally, dogmatically, and theologically pure Roman Catholic Pope.

We cannot help but also show some of the good, the bad, and the downright ugly of this Oratory Catechism because it does indeed explain in great detail the awful truth about what is happening in the "New Church" also referred to as being the "Conciliar Church" which is the present day 'Roman" Jurisdiction of the Catholic Church with it's new Pope, Benedict XVI who has carried forward the ideas, ideologies and heresies of the last former popes.  In saying this, there is another side of the Oratory Catechism that needs to be stated and brought to light before you go rushing out to purchase a copy and accepting all things it contains which describes the beliefs of sedevacantists in general.

You should know what it is you are called upon to purchase or believe and what is said in it as regards those who are not of the "Roman" faith of the Catholic Church which discounts "Orthodoxy" unless those Orthodox are "Uniates" (Orthodox Churches who broke from Traditional Orthodoxy in their accepting all things "Roman" under the Pope).

There are some things one needs to be warned about as they reflect on these Traditional Fundamentalist "Roman Catholics" (sedevacantists) who no longer serve under the heretical "Pope" for reasons so explained in the "Oratory Catechism".

We do admit that this book is very good in, shall we say, "zeroing in" on what is wrong with the present day "New Church" or "Conciliar Church" for it has indeed become an "Apostate" in Spirit and Truth!

Before there can be any review of such magnitude, one needs to understand a bit of history.

After review of historical truth one must admit that the economic and political situation and activities of those ancient times did, in fact, shape things between the Orthodox  Catholic Christian Church Jurisdictions (Eastern Churches of various nationalistic names) and the Roman Jurisdiction of the Catholic Christian Church which many of the Roman Popes have accepted even up to the present times without further ado, to the detriment of a full and complete healing of the breach initiated.

The present day Roman Sedevacantists, knowingly and unknowingly, have continued the aberrational teachings and attitude against their brothers and sisters who are members of the various Orthodox jurisdictions of the Catholic Christian Church, perpetrated by previous Popes before Pope John Paul VI and even the present day "New Church" or "Conciliar Church" both directly and indirectly as has been shown, in part, in the "A bit of history" and will also be seen by some of the following.

One can only wonder what are the differences between the "New Church" also known as the "Conciliar Church" and Sedevacantists in these present times? Again, keep reading for more facts and information.

Referring to the Oratory Catechism (Page 181) it is claimed "The Roman Mass is the oldest of the still existent Mass forms. Apart from the Roman rite celebrated in Latin, there are additional ancient Mass rites in the Catholic Church" and then proceeds to itemize who the jurisdictions are:

1) the Byzantine rite in Greek, Old Church Slavonic and living languages.
2) the Armenian rite in classical Armenian.
3) the West Syrian (Antiochian) rite in Syriac and Arabic, in Malabar (India) with the Maronite rite (Lebanon) in Syriac and Arabic.
4) the East Syrian (Chaldean) rite in Syriac and Malayalam.
5) the Coptic rite in Coptic and Arabic.
6) the Ethiopian rite in Ghe'ez (Old Ethiopian).
There are also non-Catholic Christians belonging to these Oriental rites ("Orthodox", "Monophysite" national churches). Catholics using the Oriental rites are also called "Uniate".

The Greek Orthodox Church and the Old Church Slavonic are churches which either were totally separate or creations in part by the Roman Jurisdiction as a means to meet the needs of the people through political-economic activities and such militaristic force from the Roman jurisdiction in centuries past to gain a physical foothold in the countries they invaded.  Thus, as a result of violent conquests  or invasions in centuries gone by, as well as political and economic force, some of those who were "Orthodox  Catholic" became converts to Romanism and all she taught and believed.  The Greek Orthodox Church still maintains itself as a part of "Orthodoxy" and those who are Byzantine rite Greek Catholics are "UNIATE" Greek Catholics under authority and allegiance to the Vatican (Rome).

The same can be, and is said of the: Syrian, Arabic, Malabar, Lebanon, Coptic, and Ethiopian churches they have listed.   These clergy and their faithful were, at one time (and some remnants of them still exist) very much "Orthodox Catholic" without ties to Rome (Vatican, the Pope) while others became or have become, under the same or similar national or ethnic names claiming to be "Orthodox", but in disguise (so-to-speak) as they are "Uniate" (being pseudo "Orthodox" but very much under control and obedience to the Roman Jurisdiction's Pope of the Catholic Church) .

The Oratory Catechism does not spell out these facts because it is attempting to do the very same as that which has been done over the centuries... which is to make all things "Catholic" appear as only being of Rome, or Roman Catholic.  It is much similar to what was said at the end of the paragraph on the page 181 of the "Oratory Catechism" which applies the word "Oriental" to most anything that is "Orthodox" or "Oriental" not necessarily belonging or falling under the control of the Roman Jurisdiction of the Catholic Church: "There are also non-Catholic Christians belonging to these Oriental rites ("Orthodox", "Monophysite" national churches). Catholics using the Oriental rites are also called "Uniate".

Referring to the Oratory Catechism - (Page 278) It is claimed "The Great Apostasy has also affected Protestants and with a time-lag also "Orthodox" Christians".  What they failed to tell is that the Greek Orthodox Church (Jurisdiction of the Catholic Church, not Roman, was the first "Orthodox" or "Oriental" Church to have been "taken in" by the Protestant "National" and "World Council of Churches" in the idea of bringing global "unity".   Later, after seeing what that meant to those organizations of the "World Council" and their "National Council of Churches" and the various "agreements" being put forth to other jurisdictions and religions, including many of the cultic Protestant churches; the Greek Orthodox Church, through several of its hierarchy and clergy, leaked out the fact that they had numerous "inside" discussions about how they could "back-out" from such an endeavor because of the false witness being proffered by the "Council of Churches" that has weakened the true Orthodox Catholic Christian Faith and the further fact that this "synchrestic ecumenism" is the very same as that which the ancient Seven Oecumenical Councils condemned in times past, although the presentation in these later years were using differing approaches, phrases and terminology.  But, as time came forward and meetings produced "statements" or "documents" as to how they should view the triune God and matters of faith... it was seen that the whole basic structure of Christianity was being uprooted and changed to accommodate heretics and heresy on a much broader and vast scale by not only cultic Protestants by other religions who have been and are under sway of the Evil One, Satan, Lucifer.

The "Oratory Catechism" is written in the vein that "Orthodox" Catholics (not those attached to Romanism) are responsible in part or whole... and are false Catholics.  This is in error and a falsehood because the fabric, root and branch of Christianity, the fabric of the faith that is, before the Roman Church ("Church of the West" began its economic, political and psychological manipulations with alterations and additions to the core of the faith, the Roman Church ("Church of the West") was considered "Orthodox" until about the 800's A.D. which finalized its schism in 1054 A.D. from the root and branch of Orthodox Catholic Christian History.  This brought about that which today is called the Roman Jurisdiction of the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Jurisdiction of the Catholic Church under several nationalist names such as "Greek Orthodox" "Russian Orthodox" "Ukrainian Orthodox" which brought about the present day "American Orthodox" Churches.

The position and stand of the Oratory Catechism writings is from the disease of "Scholasticism" - "arrogance" - "Pride" - "political correctness" with its rather "Roman" abilities to use psychological manipulation to make one believe, again, that all things "Catholic" are "Roman Catholic" and denounces or degrades all others as either being subordinate or a little less than being true to the faith delivered once and for all to the world by Jesus Christ and the Holy Apostles.

Referring to the Oratory Catechism - (Page 282) We find "At first, Ecumenism was a purely Protestant movement attempting to unify Protestant "churches" and denominations. Later, the "Orthodox" churches joined the movement".  This is a partial truth without stated facts.  The truth is as said above.  This particular stance by the writers of the Oratory Catechism is, again, done with only the "Roman" attitude (Disease of scholasticism, Political Correctness, psychological manipulation).  Such is a false witness not only to historical truth, but to the fabric of the faith.  Inasmuch as there are other "Orthodox" churches which have become involved in this mass hysteria of joining in and with those "synchrestic ecumenists" - - - it behooves the clergy and faithful alike to recognize the seriousness of what their parishes, clergy and people are doing by accepting these false witnesses of Synchrestic Ecumenism being expounded by both the present day World Council of Churches, World Council of Bishops and the Roman Jurisdiction of the Catholic Church.  It is almost similar to the other side of blade or knife because both sides cut and separates that which it cuts without discrimination of what it is severing.

May it also be noted and understood that given times past of only a few decades ago, when the Orthodox Patriarch Athenagoras did some of the things he did... he did NOT have the full and complete backing of other Orthodox Catholic Jurisdictions of the Catholic Church.  It must also be remembered that in those times, as well as the present, the Seat of Orthodoxy, although it depends on which "nationalistic" Orthodox Church Jurisdiction one speaks about.   Constantinople is located in Turkey under the Muslim (Moslem) nation (being Islamic).  The government of Turkey holds political sway and sometimes use threats of force against the Orthodox Patriarch, to the degree of involving its force even in the selection of succeeding Patriarchs.  Thus, as regards "Athenagoras" much has to be considered because not all "Orthodox" jurisdictions (national named Orthodox) do not follow Constantinople's Patriarchal decrees.  The Patriarch of Constantinople is revered by all Orthodox Churches as one of the five major Patriarchates.

A Patriarchate is the Seat of a Patriarch established in times past before the Roman Jurisdiction of the Catholic Church schismed from Catholic Christianity.  The Bishop of Rome is actually a Patriarch and Rome is one of those five major Seats of Catholicism.

Referring to the Oratory Catechism - (Page 312) it states:

"Thus, even heretics such as the "Orthodox" if they "request it and are disposed in the right way" (can 844 3, CIC, 1983) and Protestants who "do not have access to an administrator in their own community and who of their own accord request it, inasmuch as they enquire into the Catholic Faith with regards to this Sacrament and are disposed in the right way" (can 844 4) may be permitted to participate in the modern Eucharistic Celebration." The "can 844 4" referred to is in regards to their Roman Jurisdiction's Code of Canon Law strictly for those who are parishioners and clergy of the Roman church and does not apply or have an affect upon those spiritual and material strugglers of the various Orthodox Jurisdiction's of the Catholic Church who are not in allegiance to the Vatican or Rome!  Of course, this particular part of the writing in the Oratory Catechism is referring to the "New Rome" or "Conciliar Church" present day attitude and rules for accepting all others in their "Mass" which in Orthodoxy is referred to more correctly as "Divine Liturgy".  Yet, in the making of the statement in the Oratory Catechism as regards "even heretics such as the Orthodox" is a flagrant disregard and stance that spells out their view of the other Jurisdictions of the Catholic Church who are not bound "hand and foot" with the Romans who falsely, arrogantly, erroneously have manipulated time and history through politics, economics and psychologically to make the world believe that "...all things 'Catholic' are Roman".

As has been said time and again, backed up with facts and truth without political, economic or psychological manipulation that attests to the fact that the very term, use and word "Catholic" is bound up, root and branch, in "Orthodoxy" from which the Roman Jurisdiction schismed in 1054 A.D.

And, again, the arrogancy, over zealous error of pride and political maneuverings of Rome and all attached to anything and everything "Roman" (be they sedevacantists or otherwise) is not only dishonorable to the fabric of the Catholic Christian Faith and their endeavors to expose the roots and branch of apostasy within and outside the Roman Jurisdiction, but a committing of spiritual fraud on the world and faithful alike..

Referring to the Oratory Catechism - (Page 367) they state, in part: "In his letter, dated December 13, 1984, this Bishop, a former Professor of Dogmatics, wrote: I find it "formally and substantially downright absurd of you to demand that we doubt the orthodoxy of the present Pope." The very use of the word "orthodoxy" here is in respect to the "orthodoxy" of things Roman.  The use of the word is without the CAPITAL "O"... thus, while there is no aspersion applied, meant or intended, it is necessary to clarify for the needs of the less educated who are faithful strugglers, be they "Roman" or "Orthodox" Catholics.

OVERVIEW Of the Oratory Catechism and Sedevacantists in general:

The Oratory Catechism is a valuable tool to be considered by all those who are, or have been, members of the Roman Jurisdiction of the Catholic Church.  However, considering all that has been said above, it must be remembered and understood that the book was written by those sedevacantists who come from the Roman Jurisdiction prior to John Paul VI or who have left the Roman Jurisdiction because of him and possibly the later Pope.  The Sedevacantists, maintain a stalwart attitude which is for all things "Roman" disenfranchising the root and branch of things Catholic as coming from Jesus Christ and the Holy Apostles before the Roman Jurisdiction (Church of the West) began its militaristic, economic, social, political and psychological manipulation of both history and fact.  Their approach is with the false idea and false understanding of portions of Biblical scripture to argue that the Roman Pope is the only "Pope" and "Vicar of Christ" which other portions of Scripture absolutely says otherwise to those whose spiritual eyes and spiritual ears are awakened to.

The intensity of the Sedevacantist Roman clergy and hierarchy, even the clergy and hierarchy of the Roman "New Church" ("Conciliar Church") of today; they are as staunch in their attitude and approach as their former Popes who falsely and erroneously believe that all things "Catholic" is "roman".  It is a fact that their is NOT just one "Pope" but several others scattered even among some Orthodox Jurisdictions of the Catholic Church.  Yet, one must understand that the Oratory Catechism calls all other "Popes" as either being frauds or "sheep's in wolves clothing" when, in fact... it is much similar to the old saying of "the pot calling the kettle black".

There are many pretender "Popes" who claim the Seat of Peter as being theirs.  And, further, their claims are usually made by former clergy of the Roman Jurisdiction who have established their own church and jurisdiciton.  These clergy may, more likely, be "Independent" churches (said with little "c") and are less likely to be mentally balanced to begin with.

As to the validity of other "Popes" we can look at the Malabar Rite of the St. Thomas Christians of India who have as their Patriarch, Pope Shenouda.  He is factually, and truthfully a rightful "Pope", but not "Roman". The Roman Jurisdiction of the Catholic Church holds no exclusive right to the usage of the title of "Pope" because their are other rightful "Popes" in other Jurisdictions of the Catholic Church who are more "Orthodox" than even the present Pope of Rome (Vatican).

Thus, the Oratory Catechism again alters fact and truth from a "Roman" perspective that is filled with the diseases of Roman "scholasticism" - "arrogancy" "pride" lacking in humility and inability to state "historical" facts and truth due to the centuries of interference to alter the pages of hisotry to suit their own political and economical ends.  Now one can see a picture forming as to where the Protestants get some of their ideas from.  And Protestants are the bastard daughters of the Roman Church to begin with.  But, all of this is the Pride of arrogancy and a disease in itself.  It lacks the kind of "spirituality" that truly brings one to the path of Jesus Christ!  In itself, it is one of the problems inherent in the Catholic Christian Church both East and West.

As a result of all these things there is lacking the kind of spirituality void of politics, avarice, greed.  Such involvements of arrogance, pride, politics, etc. make the faith "cold" and "indifferent" to the spiritual values that has been handed down through time and history in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church which is often referred to as the "One, Holy, Orthodox, Catholic, and Apostolic Church" because the faith itself is based, root and branch, on Orthodoxy since the Roman Jurisdiction (Church of the West) was once a part of it prior to the 800's when it began to use its political muscle, also using economics, psychological manipulation and militaristic force upon others which was finalized in 1054 A.D. by their schism (split, separation) from the Catholic Church.

These are the many reasons why those who are of the Roman Jurisdiction of the Catholic Church are referred to as being "Roman Catholics" and those not members of her who are errantly referred to as "Orthodox" when they should be more correctly referred to as "Orthodox Catholics".  Even the electronic news media make this horrendous error because they are people who have grown up with these false and misleading impressions and understandings as a result of the centuries of error by the Roman Jurisdiction's activities in using psychological manipulation in their former "Catholic" schools, in society, on the press and in politics and through economic pressures.

It is said, "The Church must not conform to the World but the World must conform to the Church"... It is a true statement of fact based on the belief and activity of Jesus Christ, the Holy Apostles and true Patristic Fathers prior to the 1054 A.D. Schism of the Roman Jurisdiction from that which is truly Orthodox Catholic in spirit and truth!  But, in these times, one may ask which part of the Church?  The Roman or the Orthodox?  The Answer itself has been made!

The value of the Oratory Catechism lays within its pages as regarding "Apostasy" within the Roman Jurisdiction of the Catholic Church which the present day Roman Pope, John Paul VI and now the present Pope, Benedict XVI, have accepted "hook, line and sinker" from their predecessors as the book does well to point out.

The other value of the Oratory Catechism is a Catechism for the Roman faithful in Today's World as it points out.  But, on reading that Catechism one must keep in mind the negative aspects of the book because of the political and psychological manipulations it attempts to make against those who are the true root and branch from ancient times which the Roman Jurisdiction did indeed split or schism from.  Thus the very fabric of the faith is incomplete and misunderstood due to the alterations and re-writing of history to accommodate things advantageous only to the Roman Jurisdiction.

The various sedevacantist groups hold Pius XI as an example of what their Roman Jurisdiction of the Catholic Church should revert back to.  But, as seen of what is happening at the Vatican (Rome, Italy) it is something that cannot and will not happen.

The various sedevacantist groups make use of statuary (graven images/Idols) and other things appertaining to their old Roman Catholic ways.  Their magazines, newspapers and tracts are reminiscent of things prior to the Roman Pope, John Paul VI.

It would matter not if the group is the Roman Archbishop +Lefebvre or the Mariology camps or other sedevacantist group(s) ... when talking with various members of these different sedevacantist groups, they all hold one thing in common.  They act, speak and teach all things "Roman" as though there is no other "Catholic" for to them, there is only one kind of Catholic and that is a "Roman Catholic".  This is one of the errors that has come down to us through time and history from the 800's A.D. which brought about the 1054 A.D. schism (separation) of the Roman Jurisdiction from the Orthodox Catholic Christian faith.

It is the same political disease of errant politics, avarice, greed, over abundant scholasticism and thought which caused the breach that now is being acceptable by some of the Orthodox churches under the false and erroneous heading of "ecumenism" produced primarily by the Protestant's "World Council of Churches" in which the present day Roman Jurisdiction of the Catholic Church (referred to as the "New Church" or "Conciliar Church" has fomented further and become a part of through its so-called "dialogue" when, in truth, actions speak louder than words which depict a jurisdiction with forked (or double) tongue.

Because God gave man "Free Will" it would have only been a matter of time but what the seed of "apostasy" would have been planted at some point in time as it was centuries ago, even before the 800's A.D. although more poignantly articulated in historical records relating to the final Schism of the Roman Jurisdiction of the Catholic Church.

Therefore, the Roman sedevacantists of today will not accomplish much to stop the heresy because they too, unbeknownst to themselves, are a part of it in both spirit and truth by their negative attitudes of indifference not only toward "Orthodox Catholics" who are truly "Orthodox"... and somewhat more-so by their actions toward historical facts which they (Romans) have been so wrapped up in believing a lie as truth and truth as a lie about those historical facts that they do not want to see or believe truth both spiritually and materially.

That which is happening today through out the world cannot be stopped except by the intervention of Jesus Christ as time goes forward.  We do, though, applaud the Roman sedevacantists for their endeavor or attempt to make corrections where possible and to gather about them parishioners and clergy who believe more in their old ways. But, as said, even the "old ways" were tainted with such that is an offspring of the seed of apostasy that nourished the "apostasy" more fully and glaringly in these times.

We too agree that what is happening in the Vatican and through out the world is become an abomination.  The "Whore of Babylon" is exposed!!! And, she began her existence in Rome, more so appearing sharper and sharper or clearer during and after the repose of the Roman Pope, Pius XI.

In addition, the rite prescribed by Christ has had a number of prayers and readings added to it. Most of the prayers, especially in the Canon of the Roman Mass, stem from apostolic times and are traced back to the Apostle Peter. The codification of the Roman rite by Pope Pius V after the Council of Trent changed the Roman Mass in only minor ways. To differentiate the traditional apostolic Roman Mass from the new Roman liturgy of Paul VI, the former is also called the "Tridentine" Mass. The Roman Mass is the oldest of the still existent Mass forms. Apart from the Roman rite celebrated in Latin, there are additional ancient Mass rites in the Catholic Church. The main groups include:
1) the Byzantine rite in Greek, Old Church Slavonic and living languages.
2) the Armenian rite in classical Armenian.
3) the West Syrian (Antiochian) rite in Syriac and Arabic, in Malabar (India) with the Maronite rite (Libanon) in Syriac and Arabic.

Are We Now in the End Times?
630. How is the Great Apostasy displayed?
The Great Apostasy is displayed in the tremendous upheaval in their Faith which has gripped Catholics throughout the whole world since the mid-sixties.
Thousands of priests have left the priesthood. Thousands of religious have returned to the world. The number of ordinations and vocations to the religious life has declined drastically. The number of churchgoers has decreased considerably. All these are expressions of the decline in religious awareness. The Great Apostasy has also affected Protestants and with a time-lag also "Orthodox" Christians.

Oratory Catechism - Page 282
637. What is Ecumenism?
Ecumenism is the false doctrine according to which all religions (not only Christian ones) are to be combined into one universal religion.
At first, Ecumenism was a purely Protestant movement attempting to unify Protestant "churches" and denominations. Later, the "Orthodox" churches joined the movement. With Vatican II, the idea of Ecumenism was adopted by Rome and developed in its fullest sense, being extended to include all non-Christian religions as well. The Catholic Church was to also be made subject to the ecumenical idea, her special status being rescinded.  Alongside the Catholic Church, there are now allegedly other "Churches" and denominations proceeding along the same path to "unity".

The New Rome
commemoration of the sacrifice consummated on the Cross but not a propitiatory one...: let him be anathema" (DS 1753).
For a representation of something in the past is a commemoration. Nevertheless, a secondary purpose of the Mass is also to represent the Sacrifice of the Cross.
666. Why is the Sacrifice of the Mass not an assembly?
The Mass is not an assembly because the Sacrifice of the Mass is offered by the priest alone.
Although the priest is also the representative of the Church, the Sacrifice is not offered by the assembly. The faithful only assent in the priest's sacrifice. Therefore, the priest can legally offer the Sacrifice by himself, without an assembly or even servers. A banquet, on the other hand, depends on people gathered together. One person alone cannot hold a banquet.
667. Why does the Sacrifice of the Mass not serve human brotherhood?
The Sacrifice of the Mass does not serve human brotherhood because the Sacrifice of the Mass is not for the world and its unity, but rather its primary goal is honoring God.
The secondary goal of the Sacrifice of the Mass is to unite the faithful more and more with God in Faith, hope and love. Only the faithful may participate in the fruit of the Sacrifice of the Mass, i.e., receive Communion. A partial faith is not sufficient; such a faith is not Faith at all. Communion is participation in a heavenly feast. Its purpose is not to create unity; rather the existing unity in Faith and love is intensified. On the other hand, according to the doctrine of Mass as a Banquet, as many people as possible must be allowed to participate in a banquet of human brotherhood. Thus, even heretics such as the "Orthodox" if they "request it and are disposed in the right way" (can 844 3, CIC, 1983) and Protestants who "do not have access to an administrator in their own community and who of their own accord request it, inasmuch as they enquire into the Catholic Faith with regards to this Sacrament and are disposed in the right way" (can 844 4) may be permitted to participate in the modern Eucharistic Celebration.

About the arguments in general (relating to a letter in the Catechism)
In the Spring and again in the Fall of 1984, the St. Peter Canisius Convent asked all German-speaking diocesan Bishops, including all the Bishops in Swit2erland, to meet the obligations of their office to maintain the purity of the Faith and to avert the grave dangers to the Church by examining the false doctrines of John Paul II, drawing their attention to all published documents containing these heresies (see below for a list). Most of the Bishops did not have the courtesy even to reply, let alone to take up the matter. One single Bishop explained his answer. In his letter, dated December 13, 1984, this Bishop, a former Professor of Dogmatics, wrote: I find it "formally and substantially downright absurd of you to demand that we doubt the orthodoxy of the present Pope. Please understand that I cannot answer letters of this kind in the future. In view of my many important obligations, I cannot spend time on requests of this nature."
So, due to more important obligations, this Bishop has no time for the examination of the false doctrines of John Paul II. It is the opinion of the St. Peter Canisius Convent, on the other hand, that the most important task of a Bishop is to preserve the Deposit of Faith and to ward off heresies. Since, however, the bishops are failing so incredibly in this, the Church's greatest crisis (at least since the Reformation), priests and laity are obligated to take over the defense of the Faith in place of the bishops. In 1870, the Vatican Council proclaimed: "For the love of Christ, we request and by the power of the authority of Our Lord Jesus Christ we command all the Christian faithful, but especially those who are superiors or teachers, to concentrate all their zeal and efforts on withstanding and destroying all heresies from Holy Church so that the light of pure Faith may shine brightly" (Sess. Ill c.4 can 3). And Pope Leo XIII added: "Among the obligations we have in relation to God and the Church, the most important one is that of zealously spreading the Christian Truth to the best of one's ability and of uprooting false doctrines" (Encyclical Sapientiae Christianae of January 10, 1890). The St. Peter Canisius Convent is attempting to fulfill this obligation. The Bishops were referred to the following writings:

We are an educational, News-informational and research Web Site dedicated to providing such as befits those who seek things pertinent to the Orthodox Catholic Christian Faith and life.

Also Know that:

We, at do cause for "Point" and "Counterpoint" discussions at our web site.  This is sometimes the same way in which authors and writers do in order to bring about both sides or arguments in discussions or about some issues affecting the Church as a whole.  Abbot +Gregori and our Metropolitan Archbishop do this from time to time.  Many have a limited understanding of what celibacy means and we can only ask: What part of CELIBACY does one not understand?

However, it has come to our attention that un-named individual(s) think it wise and not harmful to start attacking by taking copyrighted materials to use in their own web site without permission, per se: as for an example, the subjects pertaining to "Homosexuals" and "Homosexuality in the Church," etc. for the purpose of advancing their own causes to start their attacking of other(s) which is not bound in and with the Church, but with a personal agenda of self-image because of anger, hate, fear and worse.  They are Roman in attitude and practice, but not Orthodox, although calling themselves "Orthodox" even "Celtic".

It is understood, according to information and belief, that three of his/her/their websites may have been closed by former service providers due to complaints against him/them for internet terrorism, spewing "hate" and causing for an individual whom he/they discuss, to be exposed to potential physical harm which happened in the early part of the 2005 when they thought themselves wise in their own conceit, for things of more than 13 years in the past.  What part of "Hate" - "Exposing another to threats of losing life" - "Internet Terrorism" does he/they not understand? Now, under other domain names, the same/similar hate messages re-occur against the same individual.

We find them to be un-orthodox and un-Christian in spirit and truth for they continue to argue things of the past that is not a part of the Life and Teachings of Jesus Christ, and (in fact) go against the very commandments of Jesus Christ!  And those who do such are, it is opined upon investigation and in most instances, the very one(s) who had been or are under ban as excommunicated individuals posing as duly ordained clergy who had been a part of this jurisdiction (and so many numerous others) in times past.'s NOTE:  A few have sent us inquiries as to why we post information and/or articles relating to what might be considered as political and sometimes from other Protestants .  And the reply is much the same as it states on the entry page....  We Are:

Traditional Orthodox Jurisdictions

While the answer and question above is not sufficient for some to understand, we take the view (which we believe is ORTHODOX) that all things pertinent to life and living affects, and has an effect, upon not just our belief (Orthodox), but (for many) the way in which we act in accordance with our belief, our very faith.

Because this is a highly Protestant Country in which we live, having an effect upon the laws of the land, we should know something of what is on-going and where efforts by those denominations may affect and have a intrinsic effect on our very laws, for such does have an effect upon our daily lives as Orthodox Catholic Christians.

If one is not cognizant of the real events happening both locally and in the world, although many are removed from the world... one will not know what to expect or what to do, or how one can or cannot act which might betray one's faith and accrue the wrath of civil authorities as laws change.  Yet, we are also reminded that these things must happen and it was for that which there exists many early Christian Martyrs and Saints.

While we can remove ourselves from the world, we still live in it.  And for the faithful, theirs is a struggle for knowledge and understanding.  All things are pertinent to the Orthodox Catholic Christian Faith which is the very foundation of Christianity.  As such, we can not abandon them and leave them blind to events and happenings.

What we post as related to those things similar to various articles which might have a political theme or non-Orthodox Catholic Christian content of sorts ... does not mean or imply that we are supportive of, for, or against something articulated in an article, so much as it is NEWS and our faithful should be made aware, for such may be the very thing that will impact their day-to-day life.  It is for them, their free will... to judge the relevancy.

Remember, not all Protestants, especially hard core cultic groups such as "Charismatic" - "Evangelical" "Promise Keepers" "Church of Christ" "Methodism" "Pentecostals" "Jehovah's Witnesses" "Mormons" and other people are not so generous in their viciousness toward anyone and anything that appears "Catholic" whether of the Roman or Orthodox jurisdictions, for they do not know or want to learn that which makes them "different" in their walk and talk as being far from the roots of Christianity.

Remember, it is the Roman jurisdiction of the Catholic Church which has more outwardly shown that it can be one of the most vicious toward those who are not Roman but are very much "Catholic" - for the sun and moon does not rise and set on the Vatican (Latin or Roman) jurisdiction as to who is or is not "Catholic" for the Roman jurisdiction split (schismed) from the roots of "Catholicism" which is founded in what is termed and called today as "Orthodoxy".

Any good article or piece of information will be considered so long as it is not defamatory or slanderous toward an individual when not based on TRUTH or FACT, or which is altered out of context from its original publishing by recognized sources.

I prefer a defeat accompanied by humility to a victory accompanied by pride.

Yes, our Metropolitan Archbishop, +Joseph Thaddeus, SSJt., Ph.D. strongly defends the Seals of the Confessional for such leads to true Repentance in thought, word and deed whereby the penitent is required to make amends, where possible, to seek forgiveness of those harmed by his actions whether real or imagined, and to give his forgiveness to those who have harmed him before taking the Holy Body and Blood in the Eucharist, Jesus the Christ.  The reality of this understanding is bound up in and with the findings for which cause he, himself, had been character assassinated by his detractors who claim the courts prevented him from breaking the Seals of the Confessional which is not the truth at all.... Click here to see what another bishop's findings are...

The workings of Holy Spirit will not be daunted by those who attempt to cause disruption!  It is for these and other reasons that you are urged to read what true repentance and forgiveness means for real "Christians".

"It would be better to have ten (10) true repentant X-felons who ask for and give true forgiveness than it would be to have one (1) non-x-felon or common person whose self-righteousness exceeds even the Pharisees, Sadducees, the gossip mongers, slanderers and un-repentant; for the repentant x-felon understands the true meaning of the Church's purpose as being the spiritual hospital." Yes... "Prejudice Makes Prisoners of the Hated and the Hater..." (1992-Fr. Alan Stanford)

One can ask, "What part of 'Prejudice' and 'hate' do you not understand?  Are you a complacent person?  In light of the saying, examine yourself!  You may be surprised if you are honest with yourself for your soul may convict you before Jesus Christ convicts you in the times to come!

"When tested by some trial you should try to find out not why or through whom it came, but only how to endure it gratefully, without distress or rancor."

St. Mark the Ascetic.

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit." Psalms 32:1-2
