Koran (9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

This has been making the rounds since about 9/12, and it's an ecclesio-urban legend if I've ever seen one -- did anybody ever bother to look this up?

9:11 reads: "But if they [Mohammed's foes in Medina] repent, establish regular prayers, and practice regular charity -- [then] they are your brethren in Faith; and thus do We explain [our] signs in detail for those who understand."

Koranic verse numbering can vary slightly from version to version, so for the record, there is no such verse anywhere nearby ... nor, so far as I know, anywhere in the Koran itself, although I'm less certain of that.

That is not a real verse from the 9th Surah of the Qur'ran its is just something that has gone around the web for a few years. Not that I am supporting the muslims or anything but I wouldn't want them stating something was in MY bible that wasn't so I must do unto them as they should do unto me. So the 9:11 of the Qur'ran states:

"but if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and WE make the communication clear for a people to know.

Al Qur'ran - Baraat (repentance) which is Surah 9 and I quoted verse 11

Then we have (as of 9/25/2007) - someone who calls himself "Truth Seeker" and even makes reference to one of our distinguished bishops as though he knows him which means we know, because the e-mail address was tracked... even though the e-mail sender had itself as a "hidden" nome-de-plume of "Seeker of Truth" ---- Ohio is not a good place to work from we are advised because the government does watch, so we are told! The individual claims to be something "Catholic" when personalities are disclosed, hiding under that of a muslim? Hmm... rather interesting how manipulative one can be especially behind the skirts of a closeted male trash dealer of some think...
